Leave Galway, turn right.

We’ve had a few discussions on what the course for the Round Rockall Race should be. At the moment we’re most inclined to keep it simple and let competitors decide how to handle the trip up the West coast. That could change, depending on feedback from prospective entrants. It would be easy enough to make the course “outside everything and leave Ireland to starboard” but that would limit the tactical options.

Depending on conditions some boats might choose to take a more coastal route North before heading NW for Rockall and we feel that by leaving that option open we can make the race that bit more interesting. Comments and feedback are welcome.
