From Bank von Bremen

Liebe Leute an Land,

um 13.15 Deutscher Zeit haben wir den Vogelfelsen Rockall gerundet.

Der Atlantik zeigt sich von seiner grauen Seite.

Der Wind weht mit etwa 6 Bft. aus Ost. Aber nicht mehr lange.

Wir durchqueren gerade den Kern eines Tiefdruckgebietes.

Der Wind wird daher für uns vorlicher werden. Schiff und Mannschaft sind wohlauf.

A rough translation:

Good people on land

at 13.15 pm (German time) we had rounded the bird-inhabited islet of Rockall.

The Atlantic is showing its gray side.

The wind is blowing about Force 6 Bft. from East. But not for long.

We just passed through the core of a depression.

The wind will therefore be heading us. Ship and crew are doing well.
