The Round Rockall Race
The Round Rockall Race took place from Galway, Ireland in June 2012, coinciding with the visit to Galway of the Volvo Ocean Race. Three boats took part: Bank von Bremen (GER Rainer Persch, fully crewed), Dinah (IRL Barry Hurley, solo) and Killary Flyer (IRL Jamie Young, solo). Bank von Bremen took line honours and Dinah won overall. Subsequent efforts to run a second race attracted interest but no entries.
